Alberta Cross are set to release their debut album 'Broken Side Of Time' this coming Monday (September 21).
The group, natives of London and Stockholm, made their name when they upped sticks and moved across the Atlantic to the Big Apple. Fed up of struggling around the sometimes stagnant London gig circuit, it seems their move has invigorated both band and audience alike.
Since then Alberta Cross have been busy writing and recording, putting out mini-album 'The Thief And The Heartbreaker' and the 'Leave Us Or Forgive Us' EP in 2007. Now the group have finally hit the studio to record their long-awaited debut full-length, 'Broken Side Of Time'.
It's ironic that the group had to head to the US to gain recognition, especially when you consider the popularity of associated Southern rock 'n' roll bands such as Kings Of Leon on the UK side of the pond. However, the group look set to get the back-slaps they deserve come September 28.
The band will be over UK-wards for a series of shows come November. Check them out below:
NOVEMBER
11 Bristol The Cooler
12 Leeds Cockpit
13 Glasgow Captains Rest
15 Manchester Ruby Lounge
16 Birmingham Birmingham Bar Academy
17 London Bush Hall
Here's a rather nice “in the studio” video from the lads themselves.
