Another 2010 “Most Likely To...” Steps Up To The (Dub) Plate
Joy Orbison, dance producer du-jour and Croydon's hottest property since the Ikea superstore, is streaming his new EP 'The Shrew Would Have Cushioned The Blow' (or 'The Shrew EP') on the Simple Records website.
Another of the much-hyped class of 2010 – and thought YOU got to choose which bands would be successful – Joy Orbison released his 'Hyph Mngo' EP last summer and quickly garnered a following from those what are in the know.
Here's some commonly known facts about Joy Orbison:
- He works in a mail room
- He doesn't want to make music for a living
- His name is Pete O'Grady, which will be mildly confusing for any fans of tea-time television, should he “go mainstream”
- We really don't actually have that many facts about Joy Orbison
The new EP (backed with 'Derobe') is due out some point in February. It just says “02.2010” on the Simple Records page, which isn't very helpful at all.
